Jimmy Fallon Shows Off His New Daughter to the World

Jimmy Fallon, the host of “Late Night” on NBC, recently became a proud father of a baby girl. Fallon, 38, and his wife Nancy Juvonen welcomed their daughter Winnie Rose Fallon into the world. The birth comes as a surprise to most people since the Fallons did not make any public announcement about a pregnancy. According to Fallon, his daughter weighed in at five pounds and nine ounces.

The famous comedian not only showed off pictures of his new daughter, he even posted on the Late Night Tumblr account a .gif of Winnie “waving” with her hand. Of course the .gif is making its rounds on the Internet, with many people commenting that it does not really appear that the tiny newborn is actually waving.

In classic “Late Night” style, Fallon brought up the pregnancy during his opening monologue on the show. Most of his commentary was on how cute his daughter is, which is pretty typical of new parents. Of course this has endeared Fallon with many other parents who can easily identify with his emotions upon becoming a parent for the first time. Fallon’s wife, Nancy, runs the film production company Flower Films along with famous actress Drew Barrymore. Interestingly enough, Barrymore has said nothing about a pregnancy, adoption, surrogacy or anything else relating to a baby, leading people to only speculate how much she knew about the arrival of the Fallons’ daughter. Barrymore reportedly set Fallon and Juvonen up, leading to their marriage in 2007. Flow Films has produced several hit films such as the Charlie’s Angels franchise, He’s Just Not That Into You and Donnie Darko.

Back in 2012 Jimmy Fallon opened up to Parade magazine about his relationship with his wife Nancy. He admitted that they both are addicted to the same reality TV shows such as “The Amazing Race” and that they watch them religiously together. Fallon also revealed that he is a big gamer, saying he always feels the need to stay up with the latest in the video game market.

Of course Fallon is set to take the “Late Night” torch from Jay Leno this upcoming February, filling a highly coveted position in the entertainment industry. His elevating status in Hollywood made the announcement of the birth of his daughter that much more exciting. Not only that, but in the same week several other celebrity babies were born. Of course at the top of the list is the royal baby in England, which was welcomed by Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. Penelope Cruz also gave birth reportedly to a girl, her second child, although Cruz has kept the matter private. In fact, no announcement has been made to the media by Cruz or husband Javier Bardem, including no indication of the baby’s name or other information about the birth.
