Bromsgrove Sporting 0 v 2 Pershore Town: Match Report

Midland Combination Premier Division Football Match Report
Bromsgrove Sporting 0-2 Pershore Town
30/03/2013

Reported by Conor Rees

Bromsgrove Sporting drop another three points after their 2-0 defeat to Pershore Town in a very poor performance for the home side.

Bromsgrove didn’t appear to turn up in the first half with the majority of the pressure coming from the visitors.

Pershore’s first goal came before they even created a good effort on goal thanks to a Sporting howler in the 17th minute. Former Sporting player Chris Bright lofted a ball towards the edge of the box for Pershore. There then appeared to be a mix up between a Bromsgrove defender and goal keeper Reece Francis on the edge of the box. Neither player touched the ball and then the ball nutmeged the Sporting goal keeper and rolled straight into the goal to give Pershore the lead.

Pershore kept up the pressure with a string of chances from Scott Finnegan and Chris Bright. Their best came when a ball was laid off to Scott Finnegan who then struck the ball just wide of the goalkeepers top left hand corner.

Bromsgrove responded poor after the goal and failed to hit the target in the first half. They did come out a stronger side in the second half though after two changes at the break.

But it was Pershore who created the first chance in the second half. The Sporting captain, Matt Ross, denied an almost certain goal when Pershore’s Dane Aldington’s powerful strike on goal was cleared off the line.

Bromsgrove started to play a lot better and looked like they wanted that equaliser. A Matt Ross header, early into the second half, tested the Pershore goalkeeper Matt Davis and then moments later a Keith Draper shot was just deflected wide after a home free kick.

The away side continued to mount the pressure and before long they had their second. Chris Bright, on the near edge of the box, fired a low pass into the feet of Phil Marsh. He then side footed the ball into the net to give Pershore a 2-0 lead.

Keith Draper had a few more attempts on goal including a chip that almost caught the Pershore goalkeeper of his line.

Bromsgrove came extremely close to pulling a goal back. Andy Nicol received the ball from a back heel then beat the last Pershore defender. His shot was struck towards the goalkeeper’s bottom left hand corner and brought a good save out of Matt Davis.

Bromsgrove failed to create any further strong efforts on goal and their frustration was easily seen in the final periods. A Pershore player went down injured and whilst receiving treatment on the near touchline Aaron Roberts picked up the player and pushed him of the pitch in frustration. He was then sent off after receiving his second yellow card. Joint manager Graham Scott was also sent to the stands moments later by the referee.

That was the last event in the match and Pershore left the Victoria ground with all three points.

Bromsgrove Sporting still remain second but with only four games to go and with all of the teams around them still having many games in hand it looks near impossible that Bromsgrove Sporting will gain promotion this season.

Also following the match manager Keith Draper resigned as manager after 16 months in charge. Keith Draper said after his resignation: "It has been a pleasure to be the manager of Sporting over the last 16 months but over the last few weeks the desire and drive has not been there and it would be unfair on the players and the fans of the club for me to continue whilst in this frame of mind." I wish Keith all the best of luck where ever he decides to go next and thank him for his time at Bromsgrove Sporting, you will be missed.

Top 10 Premier League Transfer’s 2012/2013

Top 10 Premier League Transfer’s 2012/2013
This photo, “Santi Cazorla ” is copyright (c) 2013 Ronnie MacDonald and made available under a attribution type http://www.flickr.com/photos/ronmacphotos/7810855402/

Okay, so here is the second part of my top Premier League transfers 2012/2013 so far. If you missed part one where I listed places 10-6 of the top ten, then follow then link below to see them.

http://thetotallyentertainment.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/top-10-premier-league-transfers-20122013.html

5. Eden Hazard

He hasn’t necessarily been the star of the show this season for Chelsea, with Juan Mata being Chelsea’s best player so far this season. Since his arrival from Lille, for a fee of about £35m, he has scored 8 times from his 23 appearances. He was in my opinion the best player in Liege 1 last season and I’m glad someone brought him to the Premier league. He is the second Belgium talent to feature in this top ten and I’m really excited to see this new young array of talent coming out of Belgium. Hazard is still very young and his speed, agility, skill with the ball and the ability to run rings around a defence is why he is so good. His attacking threat has also been needed, along with Mata’s performance step up, due to the underperforming Torres.

4. Roman Lukaku (Loan)

Probably one of the best loan deals I’ve seen in a while. Lukaku arrived from Anderlecht in 2011 for £13m and didn’t feature at all last season for Chelsea. Since West Brom secured the loan of the Belgium striker from Chelsea he has amassed 13 goals so far and been a key feature to the Baggies successful season.  The young nineteen year old will surely fit straight into Chelsea’s squad next season and is part of the Belgium players that Chelsea continue to loan out, including Courtoius (on loan at Athletico Madrid) and Kevin De Bruyne (on loan at Werder Bremen). The young player is one of those rarities that has that burst of pace along with the strength to wade off the oppositions defence and then the ability to put the ball past the goalkeeper. There is a lot of room to grow and I’m sure he could perhaps be lethal in front of goal and a suitable replacement to Didier Drogba for Chelsea.

3. Santi Cazorla

Brought for an undisclosed fee of around £12m from Malaga in the summer, he has been a great addition to Arsenal. Santi Cazorla is one of those players who have that superb vision and the technical ability to accurately pass the ball from one side of the pitch to the other. He has been a regular feature in Arsenals midfield and provided 11 goals for the gunners this season.  In my opinion he is one of Spain’s best talents along with Juan Mata, but neither gets a look-in compared to Spain’s compact midfield revolving around players from Barcelona and Real Madrid. He has definitely been pulling the strings for Arsenal and been a great player in the absence of Jack Wilshire. I’m really looking forward to seeing the pairing of those two plying together in the foreseeable future.

2. Michu

Now this was definitely a close call between first and second. Michu has absolutely been bargain of the season arriving for a fee of around £2.5m. I was surprised no one else picked up this player with his great performances for Rayo Vallecano last season. The top Spanish clubs seemed to overlook the Spaniard along with the rest of Europe’s best. More so I’m surprised Swansea was able to get Michu’s services for as little as they did. He has supplied Swansea with 15 goals so far from 28 appearances. He has fit nicely alongside Swansea’s other signing of Pablo Hernandez and with Swansea’s style of play. He is a clinical finisher and that is proved with the number of goals he has got so far. He can win balls in the air and add to the build-up play. But most of all you can tell he is enjoying his football at Swansea and has recently came out and said he
is giving Swansea his full commitment.

1.       Van Persie

The reason I have chosen Van Persie as number 1 is because of the fact he has the key reason why Man Utd have won the title this season or extremely likely to win the title this year.  After he got top goal scorer last season he was the perfect player to add to Man Utd to retake the title from their rivals grasps. RVP has scored 19 goals so far from 26 appearances and there isn’t too much else to say. He is that clinical striker he was last year but now pared with a striking talent (something that he didn’t have at Arsenal), in Rooney, and with Man City not really making any influential signings that have made an impact over the summer and in January it has nailed down Man Uts’ success this season in my opinion.

Top 10 Premier League Transfer’s 2012/2013

Top 10 Premier League Transfer’s 2012/2013

This photo, “benteke” is copyright (c) 2011 little-pete and made available under a attribution-NoDerivs http://www.flickr.com/photos/24072886@N03/8174457027/

Here is a list of the Barclays Premier League’s top transfers from the 2012/2013 season. First of all I’d like to mention a few players that didn’t make the top 10.

Moussa Sissoko almost made the cut due to his impressive start to life at Newcastle. The Midfielder signed from Toulouse in January for a fee of around £2m and the French man has scored 3 goals from 7 appearances. His performances have been excellent with his debut and match winning display against Chelsea being his highlight so far. He would of made the top ten but I still don’t feel we have seen enough yet, the top 10 does include a January transfer but I feel that player has impacted the team significantly and feel Sissoko still has more to bring to the table.

Pablo Hernandez is another player that just missed out. He arrived at the start of the season from Valencia for just over £5m to Swansea. He has been a crucial piece to Michael Laudrup’s Swansea side, making 20 appearances and scoring 3 goals. He has been the perfect playmaker for Swansea and fit so perfectly into Swansea’s passing game.

The other player that missed out was Remy and ultimately we won’t find out whether this was one of the top signings until the end of the season. QPR may have perhaps brought them self out of relegation when they purchased Remy for around £10m from Marseille in January.  He has only made 5 appearances so far but scored 3 goals, his goal to game ratio is good but we won’t see how crucial those goals are until the end of QPR’s season.

Now on to the top 10:-

10- Philippe Coutinho

The young Brazilian, aged 20, is a top signing for Liverpool and I think he will only get better as the player grows. He arrived from Inter Milan for a fee believed to be around £10m. The reason I have added Coutinho to the top ten is due to his impact on Liverpool. He has only featured four times for Liverpool, scoring twice, but before January Liverpool lacked that spark of attacking force that would fit nicely in with Suarez. Sterling does have potential for the future but I think he is too young and his lack of experience was proved at certain times in the first half of the season. Coutinho has fit nicely alongside Suarez, as has Sturridge, but his flair has been felt throughout and even Steven Gerrard has spoken out saying that his arrival has injected a creative spark into the side.

9- Dimitar Berbatov

What can you say? When a team buys Berbatov you know you are buying a goal machine. He has proved it in the past at Spurs and was a wasted talent at Man Utd only starting off the bench and not even being included in Utd’s crowded attack force towards the end of his time there. Berbatov arrived at Fulham for a fee around £6m and since his arrival has scored 11 goals in 23 appearances. The striker does lack that pace but he has proved he doesn’t need it with the skill he brings to the table. His quick feet and skill with the ball teamed with this strikers ruthlessness has led to the amount of goals this striker has got for Fulham.

8- Julio Cesar

He has been one of the top goalkeepers of the season and if not for him I think QPR would have been relegated at this point already. The Brazilian arrived from Inter Milan on a Free and his proved why he is one of the world’s best with some of the top draw saves he has made. QPR have lacked a solid defence all season and still failed to reinforce their back four in January, they needed someone better than Samba in my opinion. Cesar has conceded a lot of goals this season but with how poor the defence has been and the amount of saves he has made you can’t fault Cesar. His performances have also seen the Brazilian been called back up to the national team.

7-  Jan Vertonghen

I was impressed by this players performance at Ajax and waiting to see which top teams would move for his signature. Well AVB moved of him in the summer and brought him to Spurs for a fee around £12m (after Spurs had two previous bids rejected after Ajax held out for their asking price of £12m). He is one of these centre backs that could play anywhere at the back because of his solidness at that back but also his willingness to go forward. He is a capable scorer and proved it with his three goals this season. He is a defender that Spurs was missing and with his presence now in the side I feel Spurs have enough talent to secure a Champions League spot for next season.

6- Christian Benteke

He is part of this great array of Belgium talent coming through and I’m sure he will be a part of Belgium’s World Cup squad if they qualify. He arrived from Genk in the summer for about £7m and has been a rock in Villa’s poor season so far. He has supplied  Aston Villa with 13 goals so far and his addition to this new look, young, Aston Villa side has been felt drastically. He wasn’t a player know by many but since his performances he is now being linked with Man City, Arsenal and Inter Milan. He isn’t just a clinical finisher though; his ability to read the game and supply some eye catching build-up play is what adds a new dimension to this striker. I remember the one assist he got this season from a back heel before Christmas and his skill was reinforced alongside his ability to score goals then in my eyes.

New Movie / Film Trailers: March 26 and 27th

New Movie Trailers: March 24th and 25th

So over the past few days we have had quite a lot of new trailers released. That includes a teaser for the new Wolverine, the second trailer for Kick Ass 2, a new trailer for Pain & Gain and the first trailer for White House Down.

March 26th

The Wolverine
So I know that I already did a roundup of trailers from March 25th. But later that day a new teaser was released for The Wolverine from MTV. The six second teaser didn’t show too much but the day after an extended teaser, with a running time of 20 seconds, was released. The trailer shows an almost constant reel of action. The film stars Hugh Jackman who plays the part of The Wolverine. I did enjoy the first film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but I didn’t find it perfect, there was a few sloppy parts including the scene where the crew made a smoke machine visible in the background by mistake.

Dark Skies

Dark Skies is another film about alien visitors to earth. From the creators of Paranormal Activity and Insidious the trailer doesn’t show too much. The 50 second trailer shows a boy running through the woods until he hears a high pitch sound. Then as the tense music builds up it comes to its conclusion when another boy enters the scene and the other boy undergoes a form of abduction. The story follows the Barrett family who undergo the paranormal terror that these alien’s bring as they start to realise the true reasoning to their memory loss. This trailer only seems to be available form Total Film as of this moment so head over to their website to check out the scene.

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby has a two new TV-spots at around 30 seconds long each. The stars of this film, out in May, include Leonardo DiCaprio, Isla Fisher, Myrtle Wilson, Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. The film sees Nick Carraway (played by Toby Maguire), a Midwestern war veteran, become interested in his millionaire neighbour played by DiCaprio. After watching Leonardo DiCaprio’s stunning performance in Django Unchained I’m looking forward to see if he is capable to pull off as good, if not better, of a performance than in Django.

March 27th

White House Down

Again this is another film I’m looking forward to seeing after hearing about Jamie Foxx playing a key role in this film after his great performance in Django. White House Down also stars Channing Tatum, Jason Clarke and Joey King and today came the first trailer. This Washington disaster movie comes after another one premièred last week in the form of Olympus has Fallen. This film, form the director of Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and 2012, stars Channing Tatum lead rolling  and playing a cop who must react to
the attack on Washington (as seen in the trailer) so save both his younger daughter and the president.

Pain & Gain

We have a Red Band trailer after the release of a short TV-Spot a few days ago. The action comedy, starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson, is definitely a different approach to a Michael Bay movie than we are used too. The lengthy trailer is action packed after a short motivational speech from the recognisable voice of Ken Jeong (most popularly known as Mr Chow in the Hangover). The film is about three body builders who trade the gym for a life of crime after they rob a criminal businessman. But after their successful robbery everything comes chasing after them.

Kick Ass 2

We have the second trailer for the second Kick Ass and this one focuses on Hit girl. This trailer remind us of that young 12 year old girl form the first movie and now that she’s a bit older (15), showing us she still lives up to the badass title she earned. This is definitely a film I’ll be watching after loving the first movie and with one of my comedy favourites, Jim Carrey, playing a major role in this movie I’m expected that unexpected comedy presence that was in the first movie to be present in this also.

The Walking Dead Season 3 Spoilers - Episode 14 Prey - Synopsis, Review

The Walking Dead Season 3 Spoilers - Episode 14 Prey - Synopsis, Review

This episode we are focused on a certain group, a little like two weeks ago. But instead of looking at Rick we are homed in on Woodbury and the Gov’s revenge. For me this is all getting a bit drawn out and tedious now.  The episodes are being merely stretched out till the attack on the prison that will finally take place on the last episode. I honestly can’t wait till it’s over and a new challenge emerges next season. For me the writers knew this attack would be the season finally and since episode 8 and the mid-season premier they have been filling the episodes up with anything not really with much backing or meaning so they can just to get to the finale. Yes Rick’s craziness has been explored and some potholes have been filled that was left uncovered in the past, like what happened to Morgan? It’s more of a countdown now and just a waiting game for two weeks’ time. But now let’s get into some depth about what happened this week.

Okay, so on the last episode we left the Governor plotting a betrayal once he gets his goal, revenge on Michonne. He told Rick that if he hands over Michonne then they will be left alone. Rick, getting back to the leadership qualities he once presented, is to clever to fall for the Gov’s tricks and almost mind reads exactly what is going on, his final say on the matter is that “We’re going to war”.

We start this episode with a flash back to when Andrea was all alone with her best friend Michonne, well and her two armless Walkers to scare of any trouble. This then flashes to the Gov testing the strength of two sets of chains, attaching shackles, to where he hopes Michonne will soon be attached to.

Woodbury is preparing for war and despite guns being loaded up everywhere the eye can see Andre is still fed lies once she questions the reason for this. Milton replies in a very depressed tone and almost sarcastic like that “I’m sure it’s just for precautions”.

We are seeing a new side to Milton. He resolve is being tested and you can tell he is fed up with the situation he is in. He confronts the Gov and is worried that his best interests aren’t Woodbury’s anymore as he hunts for his revenge. Milton is a true leader, looking after his people with their intentions coming first. The Gov has forgotten that they are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and instead is trying to eliminate another group of survivors.  With Milton’s voice not getting heard by the Gov’s in the slightest his frustration leads him to tell Andrea about the real talk the Gov had with Rick and Michonne being used as a bargaining chip.

She is taken to the Gov’s workshop, or a torture chamber for his prey (Michonne). Andrea tells Milton that she must kill the Gov whilst above the workshop looking into it from a window. As the Gov is alone in there she points a gun at him and Milton pulls it away. He still is with the Gov and wants to get him back to the person he used to know. When asked to come back to the prison with Andrea, he replies that he “belongs to Woodbury”. Milton isn’t a man of violence and loyal to the Gov, but I feel his title of being the Gov’s servant is soon going to be broke though.

Andrea decides that she needs to head back to the Prison and warn the rest, not knowing that Rick is already aware. She has her gun taken of her by Martinez when walking in the street. That leaves her only with her small pocket knife.

Whilst this takes place Tyreese and Sasha are put to work guarding one of the back entrances to Woodbury. Tyreese is practicing his shooting and needing it. A Walker is outside the gate and it takes Tyreese a full four attempts before he is able to take down the Walker. It’s easy to see he hasn’t come to close into contact with fire arms before.

Andrea approaches them and convinces them to let her leave, well with a little help by pulling her knife on them. Before she leaves she tells them the Gov isn’t what he seems and it isn’t safe in Woodbury.  As she runs off into the distance it isn’t long before the Gov and Martinez are quizzing Sasha and Tyreese over what happened. Tyreese, being too good person he is, says he isn’t here to keep people in, “this isn’t a prison camp is it” says Tyreese to the Gov. The Gov doesn’t act bothered in the slightest and lets the two new citizens of Woodbury leave.

The Gov walks outside and after confronting Milton he learns that Andrea knows about the Michonne deal and betrayal that will take place. He still doesn’t think Rick isn’t clever enough to have already figured this out, but can’t let a warning siren to get announced in the Prison and heads after Andrea.

As the Gov sets out, Martinez, Tyreese, Sasha and some others including the other two members of Tyreese’s group, head out to where they have trapped a group of Walkers in a hole. Tyreese doesn’t agree with the fact that they are going to be used during the meeting tomorrow and brings up the fact there are women and children amongst the Prison settlers. With some previous tension with his fellow survivor Alan (who entered Woodbury with him), they have a little disagreement. Alan doesn’t care about right or wrong and just wants to follow the crowd and survive. Tyreese and Alan end up fighting and Alan finishes up overhanging the hole with the Walkers in, with then Tyreese (being a person not for violence) pulls him back to safety.

Meanwhile Andrea is running down the road and hears a truck coming behind her. She knows it’s the Gov and runs into the tree line. At this point I knew exactly what was going to happen as soon as she lent her back up against the tree, yes a Walker grabs her. Two more approach her from the front as she is pinned to this tree by the Walker hand from behind. It’s a close call but she stabs the two in the head in front of her and disposes of the Walker grabbing her from behind her. A short time after as she is running through an open field the same van drives past, spots her and then catches up with her just as she runs into another tree line.

Andrea comes across some old factory buildings and with the Gov hot on her tracks she enters moments before the Gov pulls up. Now is the most tedious chase I’ve ever seen. It’s a big cat and mouse game that drags far longer than it should. They both wander around hear a noise, hide in Andrea’s case or go towards the noise in the Gov’s case. They kill a Walker; make more noise, the Gov smashes a window. The only real important part is that the Gov basically tells Andrea Woodbury is her home and with her not responding he says suit yourself. Towards the end of the factory scene once they finally bump into each other Andrea opens a door and then goes behind another to unleash a small pack of Walkers on the Gov. She escapes and hopes she has left the Gov for dead.

Later that night a car pulls up to the hole full of Walkers and a figure that we don’t see pours gasoline on the Walkers before setting them alight. You ameediently think this is Tyrees after his comments earlier on in the day but once the Gov talks to him later on he is clueless about what he is talking about. I believe the culprit was Milton who is starting to rebel against the Gov and instead think of the interest of the people of Woodbury.

Andrea finally makes it to the prison and just as she is about to signal to Rick on watch, that doesn’t see her. The Gov appears from nowhere and pins her to the ground.

On return the Gov says he didn’t find Andrea, I was wondering what he did with her as she couldn’t have been inside Woodburn as someone would have seen her enter the town. He then learns about the Walkers being burnt and quizzes Sasha and Tyreese. He tells Tyreese the Walkers was only a scare tactic in order for him to act all innocent to Tyreese. As he leaves he asks where he got the gasoline from and only gets a clueless response. At this point he knows it’s Milton so it will be interesting to see their relationship evolve before the end of this season.

The final scene then shows that Andrea is locked up in the Gov’s workshop and strapped to a chair. I don’t understand how she got there without being seen but I imagine she will escape next week, though next week’s preview looks as though it’s focused on the Prisoners and not looking at Woodbury.

All in all another good episode but not anything with that X-Factor or something special. This is mainly due to very little happening apart from a few Walkers being dealt with here and there in the last few episodes.

New Movie / Film Trailers: Weekly Round up 1: March 24 and 25 th

New Movie / Film Trailers: Weekly Round up 1: March 24 and 25 th

The final part of the first weeks round up of trailers will include the new movie trailers released over the past few days. We've seen the first look at the new Riddick film, a Hummingbird trailer, and another trailer from World War Z and a TV-spot from Pain & Gain.

March 24th

Riddick

It’s been almost a decade since the last Riddick was released back in 2004. Yesterday Vin Diesel released an official teaser for the new sequel via his Facebook page. I haven’t seen the first movie so I’m not too familiar with the plot and this short trailer doesn’t give anything away when it comes to storyline. This teaser has Vin Diesel deep narrative throughout and we also get a release date of September 6th. Watch the trailer below:-

Hummingbird

The Hummingbird stars Jason Statham playing Joey Jones set in London. Joey, as in typical Statham nature, is give the hard man label and given a second chance after being homeless, to go to work in the London criminal underbelly. This looks like it could be a very different role to what we normally expect from Statham. Yes I’m sure it’s going to involve Statham beating the living day lights out of endless foes but there also seems to be a big emotional impact in this movie involving Joey's love for a girl. Directed by Steven Knight, the Hummingbird is one I’m quite interested in. This surprised me because I’m not normally one who enjoys Statham’s films but I’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on this one when it’s released on May 17th.

March 25th

World War Z

So far we have only been give one trailer and a short TV-spot at the Super Bowl. Well today we have been given trailer number 2. The lengthy trailer shows almost all new footage mainly focusing on the lead actor in this movie Brad Pitt. This trailer being so long includes a lot of new analysis. I’ll do a separate article later today of a review and analysis on this specific trailer.

Pain & Gain

A TV-spot for Pain & Gain was released yesterday. The Michael Bay film stars Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie and Mark Wahlberg. The Comedy, Drama movie is about a group of body builders that get caught up in a new career away from thegym. They decide the best way forward is to kidnap a twisted businessman but being a comedy things don’t go to plan.

New Movie / Film Trailers: Weekly Round up 1: March 21st

This Weeks Top Movie trailers: March 20th

A lot of big name trailers were released on March 21st including the likes of Star Trek, Iron Man 3 and Fast and Furious 6. Along with these big names a we also saw trailers for other films such as Epic, Crush, Copperhead and Ryan Gosling’s new film The Place Beyond the Pines.

March 21st

Star Trek: Into Darkness

The new international trailer for Star Trek focuses mainly on Benedict Cumberbatch but also includes a lot more explosions, a lot more fighting and a lot more action. The crew learn about a betrayal that starts a man hunt for Cumberbatch's character to stop a terror threat against mankind. The film is looking very impressive and definitely one I will be checking out once it launches in May.

Iron Man 3

This is only a Tv-spot so the footage isn't new but still this is a film I will also be watching after seeing one of my favourite films of last year, Avengers. It will be interested to see how the film follows on from the Avengers. Take a look below at the new Tv-spot:-

Fast & Furious 6

Whilst we are on the theme of Tv-spots we might as well mention this one as well. Again this is mostly recycled footage with a few short snippets to cement the 30 second clip together. The main highlighted scenes all come from the already seen tank and plane scene.

Epic

Epic stars Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler and Amanda Seyfried in this animated film from the makers of Ice Age and Rio. The film also includes voice acting from pop stars Pitbull and BeyoncĂ© along with Colin Farrell lending his talent. The animated film is about a teenage girl that is transported to a forest in the middle of a battle between good and evil. The third trailer isn’t on youtube yet but can be viewed via apple’s itunes store from this link:- http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/epic/

The Place Beyond The Pines

This film starring Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper is about a father, Ryan Gosling’s character, Luke, being unable to provide for is new-born child and wife. He turns to robbing banks that ultimately leads him to being track down by a rookie cop. This could be the last film we see Ryan in for a while after this week’s news about him taking a break from acting and focusing more on directing and producing. This film is looking very impressive and should be a hit once it premiers in April.

Other Trailers on the 21st:-

Copperhead:-

Crush:-

New Movie / Film Trailers: Weekly Round up 1: March 20th

This weeks top Movie trailers: March 20th

So there have been many new film trailers released over the past week. I have rounded up the best over the week and compiled them all for your ease. Rather than make a very clunky article with every trailer inside and I've spilt them up for a more ease of use. On March 20th we had a few new trailers released and below are the top 5 trailers with  a brief description.

March 20th:-

The Internship

A new international trailer was realised this week for The Internship that stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. The Internship is a comedy about two people living in the past and not very up to date with modern technology. After their company gets closed down they apply for an Internship at Google where the two will battle it out against some of the top brains out there for a job at Google.

Trance

Trance is the latest film from Danny Boyle starring James McAvoy, Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson. James McAvoy plays Simon who is suffering with amnesia after he participated in a high value art robbery. He is undergoing therapy in order for Vincent Cassel’s character, Franck, to find the whereabouts of the painting that Simon hid before is amnesia. But as he undergoes his therapy is guessing he will uncover a bigger story to what he is being fed.

The Host

A fourth trailer has been released for The Host that appears in theatres in less than a week. This film is about love set in a future where mankind’s existence is threatened by aliens that takes over human’s bodies. Rachel Roberts leads this film in which she and a few others fight back against the invaders to save mankind.

Hatchet 3

A small 50 second teaser was released for this first look at Hatchet 3. Again this isn’t a film I’m too familiar with and I haven’t seen the previous films. Not much of a story can be gained from this teaser. What I’ve seen from the trailer and read from various sources is that a hunt for Victor Crowley is on as a team heads into the haunted swaps to end the terror that has been haunting the Honey Island Swamp, this is despite what looked to be the end of Victor in Hatchet 2, but this is all the range in horrors right, the bad guys always come back.

Turbo

DreamWorks’s latest animated feature is about, ironically, one of the slowest animals out there, a snail, with the need for speed. This snail is a big Indy 500 racing fan but with it taking him 17 minutes to across the length of a 30 cm ruler you can see the complications. This film sets up a journey for this everyday garden snail and after a freak accident this snail, Turbo, voiced by Ryan Renolds, becomes turbo charged and his dreams may soon become reality.

New Movie / Film Trailers: Weekly Round up 1: March 19th

This Week's Top Movie Trailers: 19th March

So there have been many new film trailers released over the past week. I have rounded up the best over the week and compiled them all for your ease. Rather than make a very clunky article with every trailer inside and I've spilt them up for a more easy of use. This article will consist of trailers out on March 19th where we saw two new interesting trailers and one that we was made more aware of.

March 19th:-

The Colony

The first look of this futuristic film set in a frozen world, where one day it didn’t stop snowing was revealed on Tuesday. The new film stars Laurence Fishburne, Bill Paxton and Kevin Zegers but apart from that very few details can be sourced from this first look. From what I can gather, in this new world, colonies live underneath the ice to survive the cold. They pick up an SOS signal from colony 5, where it appears they have been attacked. Laurence Fishburne then leads a rescue team across the ice to find out what has happened in colony 5. Towards the end of the trailer it looks like what ever they uncovered has followed them back or heading to their own home.

Love is All You Need

This romance stars Pierce Brosnan and Trine Dyrholm who both coincidently run into each other after they scrap cars. Pierce Brosnan plays an angry cold character, Phillip, a single parent. Trine Dyrholm’s character, Ida, has recently survived cancer and found her husband has been cheating on her.  After they both speak they realise that both their children are soon to be married to each other in Italy and both head over there to embarking on a romance of their own. This trailer has been out a while now but I’ve only included it due to Empire Magazine’s report on the trailer over the last week that have made the trailer more aware and I definitely think you should check it out.

Despicable Me 2

Steve Carell stars in this summer’s animated sequel Despicable Me 2. I haven’t seen the first film but after doing a bit of reading I can gather that this trailer shows that Gru has been taken into the Anti-Villain league due to his insider knowledge in order to take down a new villain. Steve Coogan’s vocals are also used in this new movie and it’s rumoured that Al Pacino will also lean his vocals, possible he could vocal the new villain perhaps? Trailer below:-
