Extra:- Man Utd look to be the favourites to land the
highly skilful winger after Tottenham pulled out of the race to the signing of the
20-year old.
Opinion:- The England star born in the Ivory Coast has been a hot topic for
a while now. Before the transfer window opened Real Madrid appeared to be
interested in the signing of the Crystal Palace player but now they have gone
quiet and left Tottenham and Man Utd to fight it out. I think Man Utd were
always going to be better suitors than Tottenham as the winger is more likely
to get more first team football especially if Nani were to leave Old Traford as
his future has come under some scrutiny along with the possible retirements of
Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. I think though that the likely hood of the £20m
winger leaving in January would be down to whether the buyers would be willing
to loan the player back to Crystal Palace until the end of the season. Zaha has
been at the club since 2009 and with Palace sitting 3rd in the table
I’m sure he would like to end his career with Palace with a promotion.
